Troncones, Mexico
How does a private bungalow 100 yards from the water's edge sound? What about a beautifully manicured garden of hibiscus just outside your door? Maybe a palm-thatched gazebo with hammocks 50 feet from the surf? How about all of this for $280/week? My wife and I just retruned from a week in Troncones, Mexico (just north of Ixtapa) and had nearly all the Pacific to ourselves. We walked on the beach in the sunset, ate shrimp and mushroom quesadillas in a restaurant right on the beach, bought lovely hand-made gifts, and enjoyed fresh fruit and still-warm tortillas. We played in the sun and the surf--and I mean played!--and made love to the sound of the pounding Pacific. We came home brown and rested and happy and more in love than ever, and when we did the math we discoverd it was actually cheaper to go to Troncones that it was to stay home! (The fact that we used air miles may have had something to do with this.) We really enjoyed our flight from Mexico City to Ixtapa, which was nearly empty. My wife put her head on my lap and I stroked her rump and her breasts while the stewardess was up front. We were getting pretty excited when we had to land, and our first swim didn't do much to cool us off!
We can highly recommend the area fo Troncones for couples who want to be alone, enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Coast and the delights of the Mexican culture, and spend very little money. To learn more, just type TRONCONES in your borwser's search engine.
