Coping With Growing Old

Does growing old bother you?  It bothers me a bit.  I don't get the attention I once did from the opposite sex.  But then again what good was the attention anyway?

My spouse and kids love me.  Why do I need more than that.  Maybe I'm just tired or a little down.  It's amazing what a good nights sleep does for you.

Does anyone else struggle with getting old?  I'm really not that old you know.  But getting to close for comfort to 50.

Well serving God is my solution to growing old.  When I think of things in an eternal perspective I feel young.  Eternity is a long time and I'm just a Spring Chicken compared to how many years I'll live in Heaven with God.

So I guess I'd better stop focusing on myself and remember my purpose here on life.

A reader says ... Gee, I don't know when this was written, as I just clicked onto this portion, but perhaps age isn't your concern.  I am nearing fifty, and I feel great.  One area of concern is my success, or lack of dreams becoming reality.  Life is good though, health is everything, my friend.
