Marriage. A Journey Or A Point Of Arrival?
I believe that marriage should be a point of arrival or a starting point and a life long journey with no ending point. I believe that it should be a starting point for a sexual relationship. Sex with another person should not begin until marriage. It is a starting point for a relationship with a companion who should stay with you for the rest of your life. It is a starting point for becoming one with the other, a relationship of commitment toward one another, seeking to serve the interests of one another.
Marriage is a relationship where husband and wife will stay by each other's side through it all. I also believe that it is a life long journey that should never see divorce as a way out, maybe separation for a certain period of time, but never divorce. The special relationship and bond between a husband and wife should end at death. This is the way I believe marriage should be, however we do not live in a perfect world, but in a fallen and sinful world full of people who make mistakes. So, marriages will get hurt, but I still believe that being faithful and sticking together from the starting point of marriage until the end is the best of the best marriage relationship through the thick and thin, the good and the bad.
There are statistics and studies that show how premarital sex and divorce can only make relationships a whole lot worse. I believe man and woman were made to stay pure until marriage, and then begin a relationship, and stick with it until death.
