VALENTINE'S DAY
This is a day set aside for lovers
To show their love for another.
Sweethearts, spouses and loving friends
Who promise to love no other.
You are my sweetheart, friend and lover
I pledged all my love to you,
When you placed that ring on my finger
And promised our love would be true.
Together we'll walk down life's highway
Hand in hand over the miles.
But our love will remain untarnished
As we face many troubles and trials.
We promised to help each other
In sickness or in health
To remain forever faithful
Through poverty and wealth.
And as we reach those golden years
Our bodies changed with time.
We will still see each other
As we did when in our prime.
When one passes over through Heaven's gates
With the other remaining behind,
There will still be the hope of eternity
And remembrance of ties that bind.
