They're givers
More than once with women I've dated, I've been the recipient of a great surprise on a special day, like my birthday or Valentine's Day. Each time the woman knocked herself out with a generous and very creative shower of presents, card, and food. When I say generous, I don't mean that she spent a fortune but that she put so much time and thought and effort into it. The result in each case was something very cute and touching. I knew that I didn't deserve their thoughtful treatment, and I was moved by the way they gave.
So many women seem to be like this. They instinctively know that relationships with people they care about are important to keep strong, and thus worth treating in special ways at times. Ladies give so much. I deeply appreciate that about them. We who are men should honor them in similar ways.
