Every Good Deed Deserves A Tract

“Now honey, here is your grocery list, put it in your top pocket. Do we need to go over it again?  You did put the ice chest with the fruit drinks in the trunk of the car? “  Her husband agreed, “Yes, they will be nice and cold for this afternoons soccer game.”

He drove to the grocery store and loaded up his cart following the list and checked out and was now unloading the groceries into the trunk.

As he was unloading the groceries, he overheard the woman and her two pre-teens walking up to their old beat up car beside his.  The pre-teens were complaining about how hot it was today and how they wished they had something to drink.

He was always looking for an opportunity to put a smile on someones face and share a gospel tract with them in hopes that they might read it and come to know about Jesus.

He was good at this.  He carried a variety of gospel tracts in his front top pocket, just waiting for opportunities like this.

Like a well-oiled machine, he seized the opportunity.  He reached into the trunk of his car, opened the ice chest, pulled out three fruit drinks, walked over to the car, bent down at the back window and said, “It sure is hot out today.  I happen to have an ice chest full of fruit drinks, for our soccer game later today.  I couldn't help but hear that you were thirsty.  Here would you like an ice cold fruit drink?” as he handed each of them a drink.

He planted a smile on each of their faces as they eagerly accepted the drink.  Next he pulled out three tracts – two were cartoon gospel tracts for each of the pre-teens.  And the third one was for the mom.

He said, “I look for opportunities to show God's love to others, because of all the love God has shown to me.  Here is a little pamphlet that I hope you will read that will explain more about God's love for you.”

They each took the tract and thanked him for the drink and tract and they promised him they would read it.

Here is a web site where you can find free gospel tracts to give out to those who you help during the day.  http://www.angelfire.com/mi/savedbygracealone/.
