Pregnant mom? Bad back pain?

I wanted to address the pregnant moms this time. As you progress into your pregnancy, you'll find that carrying your lil' one is a major strain on your back.

I was pretty small during my pregnancy- 5' 5" , 120 lbs pre-pregnancy and I felt every flip, roll, kick, my baby delivered. She was a busy lil' gal and I was in pain!
She took permanent residence in my ribs for a long time. I tried the tips I'd receive from my doctor to rub the area that hurt, smoothing my hand down to move her out of her favorite spot, arching my back like a cat. I even tried the wrap around hot pads. I practically inhaled Tylenol every 4 hours.

These ministrations helped sometimes, but when they didn't, boy talk about  burning! It felt like fire in my ribs that went all the way around to my back. I had a hard time sitting anywhere, and at that time I was trying to hold down a full time office job. Yeah, no fun!
I hardly got any sleep at all, between frequent bathroom trips through the night and the dull aching pain in my back and hips, sometimes down through my legs, I would wake up exhausted.
One day my mom mentioned that maybe I should see my chiropractor. At first I thought, he can't help me, what can he do? It's just the trial of being pregnant. I'll have to bear it for 3 more months.

Well, I was hurting so bad, I could hardly drive myself there, so I knew I needed help.
Let me just say- chiropractors are wonderful! This chiropractor happens to be a Christian, so I consider him a God-send! In just one treatment he eased my back pain considerably.
By the time I was ready to deliver, I was about 90% pain free. Talk about relief! I wondered how I'd handled the pain before, it was so horrible.

Gone were the tears of pain, and now I could fully focus on our little girl as she entered this big ol' world, this time crying tears of joy....
