The following is Paul Stookey's words to the Wedding Song as best as i can remember the words.  The Wedding Song came out probably sometimes between 1973-1975 according to my recollection.  Sadly the Boston oldies radio station doesn't play this song anymore.
i hope it has a positive contribution to the lives of the readers, as it does me when i remember it when i am feeling lonely and let the melody and words echo in my head.

A reader says ... I have always loved that song.  He wrote that for Peter Yarrow's wedding.  Peter asked him to sing and he agreed, but did not have a song.  Even at the rehersal he still did not have a song. When Paul went to bed that night before the wedding, all of a sudden the words just popped into his head. He got up and wrote as fast as he could. The first time he was able to sing and play all the way through was at Peter's wedding.  Paul believed God just dropped that song on to him for his friend and never claimed authorship, he immediatly put it into public domain.
