Late Night Lovemaking.

Most people think that as a married couple with kids we should tend to leave the love making times for the late night. You, know. I'm sure that is what normally what happens in most marriages. Well, it used to for my husband and me too. Until we started having the late night knocking on the doors. Only to hear a little ones voice saying "Mommy". So, of course, I feel the need to leave the sensual moment of pleasure that was between the sheets with my husband and I. After I dress myself I move toward the door to see what has awaken our little one. As soon as I open the door, I see a pre-school child holding an empty milk jug. I laugh silently to myself, wondering what our little bundle of joy will have to say about this.

Then I hear the small voice say, "Mommy, my sippy cup was out and I wanted some more milk. I thought I could get it. I made a mess instead ". Still not wanting to laugh, I encourage our little one that it is ok and that I will clean the mess up and send her to bed with a fresh cup of milk. I turn the lights out and head back to my husband hoping he is still in the mood to continue what we were in the process of. Once inside our room I slide my gown off and walk towards the bed when, you guessed it.

I hear a knock at the door. My husband then laughs with me. I ask who it is and what they need. Only to my surprised ears did I hear, three voices at this time. "Mom". Right then and there my husband and I knew that it might be quite a bit longer before we continue our late night of lovemaking. I proceed to put my gown back on and tend to the problem on the other side of our bedroom door. I open the door to hear three different voices with three different complaints. As I merge from our bedroom I try to keep in mind that it is late and the boys should all have been in bed and asleep a long time ago. So, the first question I ask is, "

What are ya'll doing up? I know your daddy put you to bed." And all at once, they all try to speak. "Mom". I interrupt, "OK, no if's, and's, or but's, I don't know what happened or if I could even get the truth out of all of you. All, I know is that it is way past your bedtimes and I want you in bed right now. So, I escort each one back to their rooms, listening to each ones complaint. Only to reassure them that each were wrong in their doings and that they would get grounded if they didn't stop they’re arguing and go to sleep. Now, since I had taken care of all four of our kids. I was going to try to head back to my dear husband. As I walked into our bedroom with hopes of returning back to the same place we were about thirty min. ago. What a surprise to find my husband sleeping like a baby.

Not really a surprise, it has happened this way, one to many times before. So, that is why we don't always tend to make our lovemaking a late night thing a routine. We had to learn to use our time more wisely. You, know. While the kids are at school, at grandmas, while they are anywhere but at home or in the house. This has made it even more exciting for us to make love. It isn't just a routine. We are a couple acting like newly weds. Anywhere, anytime, as long as the kids are somewhere else.
