Internet romance can be dangerous.

AP press reported on November 24, 2004 that a woman and a man were married   on October 10, 2004 after an eight-month Internet romance.  

The bride moved from her home in Memphis, Tenn. to his home in a rural town in Ontario Canada.  

The eight-month Internet romance may not have been enough time to really get to know her boyfriend before marrying him.  For example, the AP article indicated that her new husband had once been a female with an apparent sex change.  

On November 12, 2004 deputies found the bride dead and now authorities believe she was murdered by her husband.

Research done by the “National Research Project” indicates that marriages are happier and end in divorce less often when the married couple meets each other through friends, family or acquaintances.

A reader says ... I think that internet romance is allright. I met my husband online 5 years ago. We are still married and its wonderful!( Dated a while before decideding to marry) But I think that any realtionship you get involved in can be dangerous, unless u date someone u know for years first. It isn't only internet that should be looked at as dangerous, blind dates also are kind of the same. Or when you meet someone new and hang out, go on dates to get to know them. All in the same.It has nothing to do with how you met the person. It can happen to anyone.
