Awesome IUD's !!!

I just wanted to simply say, that for ANYONE who is undecisive about birth control or about getting a V, I have a suggestion. About 6 weeks after I had my second child, my husband and I decided that we were pretty sure we were done having kids, but, not sure enough to fool around with him getting a V or myself, getting clamped or my tubes tied, so, I opted for an IUD. It was the easiest thing ever.. The nurse practicioner inserted it (it goes behind your cervix) And she did it while she was doing a pap-smear. And Wa-la!! It was over!! Easy as that! Bairly any pain.. a little discommfert, but, HEY-- NOTHING compared to pushing out a 9lb. 11oz. baby!! LOL!

Anyways, as far as I know, they have 2 different kinds of IUD's. A 5 year IUD that DOES have hormones in it.. and a 10 year one that has NO hormones in it!! I went for the 10 year! And the cool thing it, you can leave it it for that long, or if you change your mind, you can simply have it taken right out, and are able to get pregnent soon after. It's like doing nothing, because you dont EVER have to worry about taking a pill or changing a patch, or anything! They check it at your yearly papsmear, just to make sure it stays in place.. And the BEST part is it TOTALLY boosts your SEX LIFE!! Because you totally don't feel anything, and you TOTALLY don't have to worry about getting pregnant!! *** PLEASE NOTE*** I am NOT a doctor, I am just giving you MY opinion and from MY point of view.. I don't know about side-effects, or anything like that. I personally, have not had ANY... but, someone, somewhere down the line may have had some, or may have gotten pregnant with it.. But, I just thought I'd let you in on a little piece of heaven that I believe is a wonderful tool in our Sex Life!! WhoopEEE!!!

Comments From Readers ...

A reader says ... Some IUD's DO PREVENT CONCEPTION ... but as with any form of contraception, it doesn't prevent it 100% of the time.  Mirena IUD as I research it, does prevent conception about as often as vasectomy, getting your tubes tied, or wearing a condom.  Paragard and Copper IUD's do not prevent conception, they prevent implantation of a growing embryo.

A reader says ... Well, I belive that life is formed at conception... and a few people told me about that before I got the IUD, so, I almost didnt get it, but, I talked to my doctors and did some research, and what the IUD does is it prevents the egg and the sperm from even meeting. So, therefore, no baby... if that was the case, I would not have gotten one, because I am so strongly against abortion at ANY stage of conception.

A reader says ... Only one problem.  The IUD does not prevent conception.  Conception occurs and then the fertilized egg, or baby, goes down the fallopian tubes and implants on the wall of the uterus.  An IUD prevents the implantation from taking place and the tiny embryo is sluffed off by the body.  For those who believe life begins at conception, the IUD is not an option that is acceptable.  I have no intention of ruining anyone's sex fun, just wanted to let you know the facts.  THere are other birth control methods that are as safe, easy to use and prevent conception.

A reader says ... yes! i got the mirena iud, and love it! we're birth control worry free for five years, unless we decide to conceive before then- then it's just removed--it's been wonderful and when i get my period i have no cramps!!!! that in itself makes it worth it, and not having to worry about the pill every night ??? --priceless!!!
