All things are possible.
Jake walked down the street to the office where his interview was about to take place. He had just moved to New York from Virginia. As he was walking down the street, the difference between the two cities couldn't cease to amaze him. He thought of the big house he left behind when he moved. Compared to his apartment here, his former house seemed like a mansion. As he was walking on, he thought of his girlfriend. They have been dating for six months only, but he felt like without her, his life would not make sense anymore. He was thinking once he got this job, he will propose romantically to Ashley.
He started praying in his mind, "Dear Heavenly Father, I know that Ashley is the special woman you have for me. She is my soulmate. So, if it be your will, please let me get this job, so I can propose and be able to give her the wedding of her dreams that she always tells me about. Please, God. I love her so much. Please, just work out a miracle and help me to keep on hoping and having faith in you. I love you, my Lord. Amen."
After this little prayer, Jake felt peace stealing over him. The kind of peace that reassures a person that everything is going to be alright.
Two hours later, Jake was walking up the same street towards where he parked his car. He was very happy and immensely grateful to God. He had had a good interview and had gotten the job. He had found out there was a person that position was held for, but the person had decided at the last moment that he did not want the position. For this, Jake was forever grateful to God. All things are possible for God.
