God is the ocean of joy; the abode of happiness, and true Christianity is when someone believes that we are all sinners and we all deserve to go to hell, but that Jesus is God's Son and that Jesus died for our sins, and that Jesus offers us forgiveness for our sins if we will simply believe that He died for us and accept his forgiveness of sins.
When we believe that Jesus died for our sins, Jesus promised that God The Holy Spirit would enter into us and the Holy Spirit would begin to teach us how to love God and love others.
When we accept Jesus’ gift of forgiveness for our sins, we begin a relationship with God. We can then pray to God through Jesus who the Bible teaches is now sitting at the right hand of God The Father. Jesus is in heaven with God mediating for us. This means Jesus is telling God what we say when we pray to God.
The Bible teaches that there is only one way to talk to God, and that is through Jesus. Paul writes in 1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" Life is useless without a relationship with our creator, with God. And Jesus is the only one who can provide a relationship with our creator God.
Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship. It is a relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ. Jesus made this possible by dying on the cross for our sins. We can enjoy this relationship with God by having faith and believing that Jesus is God's Son and that He did die for us.
Once we become a Christian the Holy Spirit will give us a desire to please God. In order to please God or love God we need to study the Bible to see how God wants us to act. In the Bible God says we have one really important commandment and that is to "Love God with all our hearts and love our neighbor and others as ourself." God also has other instructions that explain how God would have us live to please him and how we should relate to others.
Love, Truth, Service, are the virtues, which are fundamentals of all Christianity. Bible speaks about Truth, Love, Non-Violence, Service, and Brotherhood. The light of God's presence is there in each and every Christian. Putting Christ's love into practice is our supreme duty to please Christ.
As a Christian we really don't have any "duties". We do not live under the law. Our only duty is to be thankful to God for Jesus and so it is because of our thankfulness that we love God with all our hearts and it is because of our thankfulness to God that we love others. It is because of our thankfulness that we choose to study the Bible and we choose to please God. This is called living under God's Grace.
When we are thankful for all that God has done for us and because we are thankful we love God with all our hearts and others as ourselves, God's love will shine through us.
God's love will shine through us towards our family, towards our society, and towards other nations. As we live by faith and rest in the assurance of knowing we are saved and going to heaven when we die, and as God's love shines through us, we will begin to bear the fruits of the Spirit. Some of these are honesty, compassion, forgiveness, purity, and charity.
Life is also subject to constant change. Hence no situation remains permanent, it has got to change. Painful situations may prevail for a longer duration but it cannot always remain so, forever. In such conditions people who have salvation through Jesus Christ can bear the vagaries of these dualities, knowing what the Bible says, that "all things work together for good to them that love God and are the called according to his purpose.
Christ is very merciful. He never turns away from anyone. In fact it is we who might have turned away from Him at some stage in the past, which resulted in sinful indulgence on our part, resulting in this sorrowful situation in life. Such understanding will give rise to our faith in the Jesus and this faith will result in evoking true love for Jesus. This love and devotion for Jesus will give us great strength and be of support in our lives. The Bible teaches that "God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him" and it says we "should work out our salvation with fear and trembling" and so we should be diligent to pray and seek God's will in our life and study the Bible and meet with other Christians, as the Bible also says to "forsake not the assembling of yourselves together."
There is a quote, which says, “You can't change the direction of the wind but you can adjust your sails.” So you too must adjust the sails of your life in such a way that it is good for you and you can protect your happiness in adversity too!!!!!!!
What should be the goal of our life? There can be only one goal of life and that is, accept Jesus as your personal Savior and live in such a way that pleases Jesus! The question that would then arise is how can one please Jesus? Firstly it should be ascertained and emphasized that we should read the Bible to see what Jesus and the apostles said about how to please Jesus.
Jesus is like the Sun. The sun gives sunlight wherein Jesus gives us the light of knowledge and wisdom. The sun basically lives by three rules: no vacation, no expectations, and no discrimination. The sun is always giving light as a twenty-four hour service. Therefore, we must also never be idle at any moment. The sun also does not expect anything in return for the service he provides. It is our privilege to pray to Jesus and to thank Jesus. When we are a Christian, we will serve: without expecting anything in return. If we have expectations, and they are not fulfilled, we might be unhappy. So having no expectations is one of the keys to happiness. Finally, the sun gives light to everyone, regardless of skin color or religion. By doing these three things, we are doing we are pleasing Jesus. This devotion connects a person to Jesus. The devotion then leads to dedication and a happy, blissful life.
Jesus washed all our sins away at the cross, when he died for us. Hence one should devote one's mind to being thankful to Jesus. And as long as one does not believe that Jesus died for their sins, their mind cannot be devoted to him. Their mind is forever engrossed in worldly things. As long as they do not have faith to believe that Jesus is God's Son and that Jesus died for these sins, it is not possible to love Jesus.
So believe Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will then teach you how to love Jesus, how to love humanity, and how to attain happiness in your life.
