Learning his love...
Sometimes our paths stop, we become detoured, and unimaginative. We carry on about days having hard times, hated days, and no forward movement in our lives.
Then that one thing happens, you are walking down the street and see a mother with three children screaming and yelling, tattered and broke down, reach into her purse and pull her last dollar out and hand it to the guy sitting on the corner with a sign. With a worm smile and a short prayer, the woman is off.
You realize that your life is missing something. You can't put your finger on it just yet, but you know something is wrong in your life.
That night you pray, you thank God for your life, your family, your friends, you prey for Mr. Fortney down the road who has been ill, and you remember the young woman from earlier, and you ask God to look out for her.
Nothing happens, “Oh, well”, you think “…that was not it.” Sleep comes easier tonight, no tossing and turning, and the kids stay in bed. How peaceful it was.
In the morning you wake up refreshed, and happier than yesterday. “Thank you, Lord.” You whisper as you grab your toothbrush and smile into the mirror. The kids are not yelling or crying so you grab your coffee to go and kiss them goodbye. In the car you say, “Thank you, Lord.” There is that smile again as you back up.
When you arrive at work there is that lady from yesterday sitting in the lobby of your office. You greet her with a smile. “Good Morning.”
“I'm Christain Hines, I am looking for a part-time job. My husband is in Iraq and I am trying to make ends meet here so he does not have to worry. Something told me to come here today. Are you hiring?”
You Smile again, “Yes, I have been looking for about a month now. Can we talk in my office?”
You know for sure that this is Gods work. You know that this much “chance” does not happen it has to be God. Don't get caught up in the everyday grind, and if you do make God part of it. In just a few seconds a day you can see the work begin.
God Bless
