Fighting for my family

I've done time in jail. My wife and I were separated for two years. She took over as head and breadwinner. Upon returning I have had to struggle to find my place in my family. I slowly began to re-assert myself as head of my family. My wife met this with resentment. I tried communicating with her my feeling but she only withdrew so I decided to rely on my faith and use a relationship with God together as the way to unite us. I also used that with the children I believe it will work with my being patient and with time. I will see.

A reader says ... It is so good you are home now. There is something you need to really know. I speak from experience. I am a Navy Corpsman. I remember the year of separation from friends and family . You must remember that for two years, your family became a group of strangers. You are now living with a new family. They moved on without you. Imagine somebody moving into your house when you were a child. You did not meet your wife's immediate need. Do what Jesus did, make yourself a servant to your family, as you serve, they will let you take charge as head of home. There are five essential needs you need to fill remember the word CHAFF. Conversation, Honesty,Affection, Financial support, and Family support. Like Christ did for his bride, the church, fight for your family using the weapons of mercy, love and especially patience. As far as kids, do remember this time away is percieved in ratio. If you are gone for two years and you have a four year old, you've been gone HALF of his/her life!! Imagine half your life not seeing someone. God Bless You we are praying...
