Happiness.
I met my future husband in my senior year of college. We were both in the same English class. Right away I noticed he was very handsome, but I assumed I would never have a chance with him. The men I had dated in the past were jerks, and I guess I had just given up on finding somebody for myself. One day in class, the professor wanted students to partner up for a project. Right away, I noticed him looking in my direction. He walked over to my desk and asked to be my partner. I was thrilled! I never thought a guy as perfect as this would even glance in my direction. That night we went to my apartment to work on our project. He was very flirty all night long, and eventually asked me out on a date. I was psyched.
It just kind of took off from there. We continued dating throughout the rest of our senior year. He was a great boyfriend. Kind, loving, trustworthy. He treated me like a princess.
On the day of our graduation, I was pretty nervous. This was it, I was graduating college and about to start my life. I woke up early to get ready and prepare myself for the big day. I was startled when I heard a knock on my apartment door.
There in the doorway was my wonderful boyfriend with breakfast. I was so excited to see him. But before I could say anything, he got down on one knee, pulled a ring box from his pocket, and said, "Rachel, I love you so much. From the first time I talked to you in class, I knew we would be together forever. Will you marry me?" Obviously, I said yes! I started crying. I couldn't have asked for a better guy to walk into my life.
