free get away
At one point when we had very little money, and no kids, but wanted to 'get away' from our regular routine, we planned a unique overnighter that we still talk about today. Ahead of time, I set up our bed in a different room, we then packed our suitcase, a picnic dinner and breakfast - we walked out the front door and in a back door that led to this other room. We then acted as though we had gone to a hotel (complete with our self supplied room service) we had a great time - and the price was right.
