PATIENT MAN

I have been suspecting that my husband could be having an affair after an anonymous woman called me claiming that my hubby has been after her with sexual intentions for almost a year. I have been very harsh with him after he denied that he was involved with another woman or chasing after one. Yet despite all the hurt I have caused him, my nagging and quarreling, lashing and all he still makes love to me, prays with me and has not altered a bad word to me or abused me.... I am confused as I do not know for sure whether this woman was honest. However I am grateful to God for my husband. I pray and hope that the other woman was lying though there are many pieces, which do not fall in place between me and my hubby. I am trusting God to reveal to me the truth.

Well... you could try what they do in the movies.  I remember seeing a movie called "Unfaithful" a long time ago.  In it the wife was cheating on her husband, and I think he hired an undercover investigator to figure it out, because like you said, there were some 'pieces that didn't fall into place.'  But maybe that's just in the movies.

On the other hand... if we look at the account of Joseph in the Bible, there we read of an innocent, Godly man, who steadfastly refused the advances of Potiphar's wife.  When she realized she couldn't get him to do her bidding, she 'blew up,' and lied to her husband about him, and made all sorts of false claims that ended up getting Jospeh jailed for a couple years.  Maybe that's what happened in this case.

Whatever it is, best wishes in your marriage.  I hope it's this latter case, and that the anonymous phone call is merely from a woman 'scorned,' jealous because she couldn't break up a marriage.
