Rekindled Love

My wife and I have been married for just over 11 years and have 3 kids.  Over the past few years, our sex life had gotten a bit monotonous and boring.  Because of the hectic schedule involved in balancing work and raising our kids, we literally had to schedule sex, and once a week was about all we had energy for.

One day, while the kids were at grandma's, my wife and I started kissing in the middle of the afternoon.  I told her how good she looked and our kissing got more and more passionate.  The next I knew we were laying on the floor making out.  It was the most excitement we'd had in our sex life in a while.  This eventually led to great sex that we both truly enjoyed.  

Since this day, we have eliminated "scheduled" sex and substituted it for scheduled babystitting.

This posting resonated with me, because I've been married the same amount of time as you, and have the same number of kids.  However, I am thankful that we haven't had to 'schedule' our intimate life.  I credit my beloved wife for that -- it always seems easy for me, or perhaps most men, to simply be 'ready to go' all the time.  Her willingness, and hunger for the same, is the reason we haven't had to schedule it.  Simply getting the kids to bed so we can enjoy one another seems to be at least half the battle!
