Interesting Engagement Story Dec 17 2007
I was never lucky enough to be engaged, but I heard a beautiful engagement story from another man who mentioned how he became engaged to his wife.
This man said he took his girlfriend out to an open field, and they both had a picnic. Later after conversation, the man said would you go pick me some flowers while I take a small nap. He was peeking at his girlfriend watching as she went through the field picking many many flowers.
When his girlfriend returned to the man, he pretended to be asleep and excitedly the girlfriend woke him up from his pretended sleep to present all the flowers she picked for him. He could see the excitement she had. So he asked his girlfriend to count how many flowers she picked. So she counted. Then he told her that number she counted will be the number of days before they will get married if she was willing to marry him.
She was very excited about the marriage proposal and said yes. Years later I heard the man telling this story and also mentioned he has been happily married for 7 years.
Was that a beautiful engagement story?
My chances of being in the situation to be engaged are dim, but I think I would like to do as this man has done.
