Sexuality and Sight, What is Right?
Sexuality and Sight, What is Right?

An Allegory
Sam and Jane who had now been married for five years, had not been very affectionate or romantic about one another for some time. This likely was related to the fact they had a significant argument some time back, which they had not really gotten over, as well as having been taught sort of negatively about sexual things. Thinking they needed a break from their busy schedule and a special time together, they decided to leave early the next morning to go to a large zoo which was about 45 miles to the southeast. Yet the next morning they happened to oversleep, while further they needed to take care of their numerous animals before they left. Since they were running late, in an effort to take care of their animals as quickly as possible, they decided to do it together. Sam and Jane both loved animals and took very good care of them. Yet, this warm spring morning with the flowers in full bloom, happened to be the beginning of a quite unusual and special day for them. As they were heading out to take care of their animals, Sam and Jane first noticed several Cardinals were playing about and mating (having sex) in their beautiful and fragrant lilac bush close by their wood shed. As they got close to their old barn they also noticed some of their Siamese cats were playing about and doing the same in the tall green grass. When they got to the barn, to their surprise they found their brown rabbits also were in the act in the deep loose straw. Jane got a funny smile and looked over at Sam who also got a strange little grin. They then suddenly remembered it was mating season for many animals and birds, and wondered if this might also continue when they got to the zoo. dZ-1
While driving towards the zoo, Sam commented that he thought the flowers this spring were more beautiful than normal, as the weather had been just right. Sam was feeling quite cheerful and observant this pleasant morning, as most often he hardly even noticed the flowers. Jane especially like this zoo because the animals here were kept in large enclosed areas much like their natural habitat, and which she thought might be quite beautiful this time of the year. When Sam and Jane got to the zoo they again were in for quite a display as it seemed many of the animals and birds there were also matting among the trees and bushes as in their natural habitat. Sam and Jane at first were somewhat embarrassed as many people were around and they hardly knew whether to watch or look away. Yet they were also somewhat amused at the situation. Even some of the monkeys and gorillas were matting, and were making quite a scene. When they got to the tropical forest area, several very beautiful bird species from South Africa also were flirting about and matting in the trees. Although some were taking photographs of these things, Sam was more timid and did not have the nerve to do so. Sam sort of wondered why he felt so strange about seeing this, as God had created male and female in the beginning and said it was very good. Sam also thought about how the Bible in the Song of Solomon spoke of a certain couple having a special time of romance and love in the vineyards and gardens of spices. By the end of the day at the zoo, and having even seen the beautiful peacocks in the act, Sam and Jane were amazed at the events of the day and for some reason were feeling unusually affectionate. It even seemed Jane was more effected by the days events than Sam. dZ-2
The thing that then amazed Sam and Jane the most was when they left the zoo and got back to their car, their happened to be a pamphlet laying right by their door called "A Guide To Better Sex", and having a photo on the cover which they hardly dared to look at, as this time it was not mere animals. Sam knowing their sex life was not what it should have been, and really wanting to know more, hardly knew what to do and couldn't decide whether he should leave it or pick it up, but in seeing Jane's look of approval he got the courage to pick it up. Inside the car they both paged through the literature which included information and numerous particular photos that made them feel all the more affectionate. After leafing through the pamphlet a bit and after giving Jane a warm squeeze, Sam started the car and headed for home, anxious to try some new things he wondered why they had not thought of before, as it appeared Jane also was feeling very affectionate, as she seemed to always be touching him in one way or another. By the time they got home Sam thought they were possibly feeling more romantic than they did the day they got married. Sam was thrilled to have Jane so affectionate and by the time things were all said and done and they fell asleep, their love was greatly rekindled and in a way they had never experienced before. Up till that time Jane had not even learned to reach orgasm, but with the help of the literature and the events of the day, she experienced what she should have been experiencing for numerous years. Neither Sam or Jane had gotten proper sex education, and further were largely under the impression sex was sort of an allowable or necessary evil, something sort of second rate , and something not to put a lot into. Yet today's experience was making Sam look at things a bit differently. They both were very glad for their experiences that day, and glad that they had picked up the pamphlet. dZ-3
That day's experiences clearly told Sam that what a couple sees has the potential to increase their passions for each other, which made it very easy for him to believe the pamphlet he just picked up, when it said the same. Yet he also felt sort of strange about seeing such things, as sights or photos as they had witnessed that day were considered wicked or base by many people. Sam very much wanted to know what was right regarding sexuality, and in his research was learning their was much confusion on the subject, and he had many questions. Sam knew God's real laws were good laws, and Sam could easily understand why the Bible said stealing, lying, murders, and such things were wrong, but wished he could understand why the Bible was thought to disallow various things about marriage and sexuality which in reality seemed beneficial, healthy, and good. Yet Sam sometimes wondered if the Bible did actually disallow them, or whether man just misunderstood and was taught as such. Sam had just recently learned that numerous teachers who are considered early church fathers largely disallowed sex even in marriage, advocating it was a base act and only permissible for reproductive purposes. Sam had heard of one couple who lived under their teachings and who in honestly and carefully following them only had sex six times in their entire married life, being once for each child. This couple knew the best time of the month when the wife would conceive and she conceived very easily. All other times when they began feeling affectionate for each other, they quenched it by quickly getting away from each other, sort of like when Joseph fled from Potiphar's wife when she wanted sex, and which parting of those who were in love often was very difficult (Gen 39:12). This husband often wished he had never gotten married, because living with the one he loved and then having to quickly get away from her and quench his love when it was the strongest often was very painful. This couple had one child every three years. dZ-4
Sam also heard of another couple in this religious society who got married when they were a bit older, while further the wife entered menopause while quite young, and thus entered menopause only a year after they were married. Thus after that they could never again have sex as it would not have been for childbearing, while they only had sex one time before this and which resulted in their only child. This husband felt much like the other husband and was grieved at marriage and life, because when him and his wife were together he often felt himself becoming affectionate towards her, and then had to quickly get away from her. Sam felt very sorry for these poor people and knew this was totally bizarre, and believed if Apostle Paul had believed like these ridiculous and bizarre church fathers he would have said it is better to stay away from marriage than to burn, rather than having taught one should marry rather than burn (1 Cor 7:9). Sam also knew that many couples under their teachings lived with needless guilt because they were not able to live by their bizarre teachings. Further Sam knew that many people hearing their austere teachings, because of thinking God's sexual laws were as such, simply ignored all sexual law and even those that were protective and good and thus also were in needless difficulty. Sam also knew may were very secretive and some even lied about these things as they tried to please these teachers. Sam in thinking about these strange teachers wondered what they thought about Apostle Paul's teaching that to avoid fornication, each should have their own wives and husbands, and teaching which said, "Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. (1 Cor 7:1-5). Sam had read numerous of their strange and grievous writings opposing sexuality and beauty at "www.teachmegod.com/home169.htm", while he wished others would also read them. dZ-5
Sam then in thinking about the present and local religious world, was made to think about the expensive and beautiful church just two miles to the north of their home, which even now had the order that their elders or priests could not marry at all, as if marriage itself was base or evil, and even though the Bible classified disallowing marriage with the doctrines of Devils (1 Tim 4:1-3). Sam wondered what was wrong with this world. Sam also had questions about why the nuns at this particular church were so greatly veiled. Sam then was amazed to learn that those early church fathers who largely disallowed sex in marriage, also advocated women's faces should be veiled, and although Apostle Paul clearly spoke of woman being the glory of man and of woman's longer hair being both a glory and covering to her, and spoke of all coming before God with an open or unveiled face. Sam had just started studying the subject of veiling and intended to study it much more. The religious manners of disallowing sex in marriage, disallowing marriage, and veiling faces, all seemed bizarre to Sam, and he was becoming quite disturbed at these things, and was made to question other religious restrictions regarding beauty and sexuality, as it seemed quite possible that they might relate to and derive from these bizarre restrictions. As Sam thought about how erring religion portrayed God as having such bizarre manners and restrictions, Sam could easily understand why many people were anti God and anti religion, yet Sam well remembered how Apostle Paul spoke of disallowing marriage as the doctrines of devils rather than doctrines of God. dZ-6
Although Sam was already grieved and upset about these things, what really got him disturbed was when he discovered that in the 19th and early 20th century, at the time when much of the American society was very negative about sexuality, especially about it being employed solely for love and satisfaction, and very opposed to contraceptives, the medical profession then was treating women for a supposed medical condition called hysteria or congestion of the womb where they would be brought to orgasm at the hand and massage of skilled medical doctors. Sam knew that around 1880 condoms were illegal in many cities of the United States (because of society being so negative about sex and especially about it being employed strictly for love and satisfaction), but when Sam learned that at the same time in history women were going to medical doctors for a supposed medical problem called hysteria and to be massaged to orgasm Sam could hardly believe how bizarre people could get. Sam was amazed even further when he learned that the first massagers or vibrators were actually invented to help doctors with this special treatment and which was nothing but bringing women to sexual orgasm. By now Sam had no confidence at all that a society as bizarre as this, could be trusted to teach him truth about sexuality. Sam wondered if the dark ages ever did quit. Sam also learned that about 1930 when this treatment became more recognized as sexual, rather than medical it quickly lost it's honored place, and thus even now massagers intended for such treatment are not even legal in various areas of the U.S. Sam was almost feeling bad how disturbed he was about all these things, but was encouraged in discovering Ecclesiastes 7:7 which reads, "Surely oppression maketh a wise man mad...", and further remembered how Jesus got upset and even angered at the bizarre religious world He encountered. dZ-7
As Sam thought about these incredible things, he was made to also think about the religious manners of their well known neighbor family just across the street, as they although not disallowing marriage as did the church just north of them, nor demanding women's faces to be veiled, yet rejected feminine cosmetics and adornments, and significantly destroyed feminine beauty by veiling women's hair or heads. Yet Sam knew these women made the most beautiful quilts in the area and had the most attractive furniture, vehicles, and gardens around, and further although rejecting feminine beauty as this, yet pursued making tasty foods like no one else. Although their religious manners were not as bizarre as the manners advocated by those counted as Church Fathers, they still seemed strange and Sam wondered how much even their manners might relate to or derive from that which was very bizarre. As Sam thought about various traditions of veiling, he was made to think about how gloomy God's beautiful world would be if the beautiful trees and flowers, which were exceptionally beautiful this spring, also would have to have their beautiful petals or branches bound together and veiled. dZ-8
As Sam thought about how the church to the north required their elders to give up marriage, and about how his next door neighbors sacrificed feminine beauty as they tried to be pleasing to God, he suddenly thought of the Scripture which read, "Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God... Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" (Micah 6:6-8). Sam also had just recently finished reading Psalms 119 and was very impressed with how King David greatly rejoiced in God's laws and ways and said they were very good. Sam also thought about how Jesus while on earth, often rebuked the traditions and commandments of men, said the truth would make His followers free, and was even considered a liberal by those who crucified Him. dZ-9
Sam remembering Jane and his special experiences at the zoo and the pamphlet they found, and the special romance they had afterwards, and knowing much of the religious world was very confused regarding sexuality, now became very curious and determined to know what was really right regarding sexuality and sight, as well as the veiling of women's heads or faces. Sam thus began studying his Bible very extensively, and even studied various languages of the Bible. As Sam then started asking hard questions about these things, and tried to expose some seemingly obvious errors to the religious world, he slowly found himself becoming somewhat rejected and estranged from people, because it seemed almost no one wanted to research this sensitive subject or admit they were wrong. It seemed most everyone was too scared or busy to look into these issues and wanted to imagine everything was fine, or at least let things go as they had been in the past. Some people even tried to advocate their is no such thing as absolute truth, and that all of us are fine, even if disagreed, as long as we keep the traditions as handed down to us by our fathers. As Sam thought about this, he was made to think about how many people because of being too proud or stubborn to admit their errors or a better way than theirs or their father's (and thus not utilizing the great room of improvement), waste great potential and suffer much needless loss. dZ-11
As Sam thought about this needless loss he was made to think of an old tale regarding an ancient people called the Night People, which people had the sad and strange belief that the light of the sun was very damaging to one's eyes and character. Thus these very unfortunate people were afraid to open their eyes during daylight hours and were kept in the dark both physically and regarding the truth. Concerning these strange people, they usually slept during the daylight hours, and then did all their work after sundown and while it was dusk, or by the light of the moon, not realizing the blessing of the light of the sun. It was very sad indeed. Their odd manners often caused these people needless difficulties, and they were sadly deprived in numerous ways. Yet these people felt they and their fathers were very special and were very sure of their traditions and beliefs. Many of them even believed the difficulties they bore because of not seeing the sun would win them paradise. Concerning anyone among them who dared to open their eyes during daylight hours and who learned of the blessing of sunlight and the beauty of colors and bright flowers, they were greatly rejected and said to be captivated by and addicted to that which was very wrong and powerful. The leaders of the Night People would blow a loud whistle in the evenings when it got dark enough for the people to safely open their eyes, and again would blow it in the morning when it again got dangerously light, while it seemed most of their leaders were as much in the dark as their people, and all were missing much potential and suffering much needless loss. As Sam thought about this tale, he was made to think of how many people even today because of pride, closed mindedness, fear, and the blind leading the blind are in sad darkness and seemingly cannot open their eyes and get out of the dark (Matt 15:14). Yet Sam also was reminded of what Jesus came to do and how He said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised" (Luke 4:18). Sam wondered how many Christians as well as Moslems need this deliverance. dZ-12
Regarding the veiling of woman's hair or heads, as Sam researched the subject he discovered that according to the Greek, the Bible quite clearly says that a woman's longer hair is a necessary attribute and glorious covering to woman which is an obvious shame to cut off, and given instead of a veil, and says woman who is the glory of man should have power (or liberty) on her head because of (or with) the Angels, and says Christ took away the veil and we all should come before God with an unveiled face (1 Cor 11:7-10 & 15, 2 Cor 3:13-18). For some reason as Sam learned what he felt was truth about this subject it often brought tears to his eyes, as it was so opposite of what many people thought. Yet many of Sam's close acquaintances as well as others were quite opposed to Sam's conclusions. Sam was very glad that Jane shared in his research and concerns, as otherwise he would have felt very sad and alone indeed. Jane wished many people would read Sam's striking questionnaire regarding veiling found at "www.TeachMeGod.com/veiling_questionnaire.htm" as it brought out various vital points about this subject. Jane knew that this questionnaire also included photos of two very unusual tears in her and Sam's Bibles, and which amazingly were right at two most vital Scriptures regarding veiling. Sam and Jane had no idea when or what made these unusual tears as these special places, and unlike any others in their Bibles, and which looked like someone or something had taken a bite out of these Scriptures. The tear or bite in Sam's Bible happened to be right were many think Apostle Paul teaches that women should veil their heads, and the tear in Jane's Bible is right where Tamar was thought to be a harlot because she veiled her face. Jane thought it was more than just coincidence that these old and very unusual tears or bites were at these outstanding places in their Bibles, and further in Bibles pertaining to one who this subject had become so important to. Sam believed the evil mouth of false hood bit into and obscured what these Scriptures really say about woman, and her being the glory of man and about her longer hair being a glorious covering to her. dZ-13
Sam up to the time of going to the zoo, had tried to be sort of an austere Christian, a tough man to whom neither the beauty of flowers or of woman's hair was important to. But things were changing with Sam as he started noticing both types of beauty in a new and more positive manner. Sam knew some men who could scarcely even admit they appreciated the beauty of woman at her best, as they felt such beauty should be vain to the good and strong man. Even for Sam it still was sort of hard to admit that he liked special feminine beauty. Although Sam knew that a beautiful woman was vain if mostly angry and contentious, yet Sam had just recently found many Scriptures in his Bible that clearly told him that feminine beauty still was quite noticed, appreciated, and important in old times. Sam in his recent studies was quite impressed with how after King Saul's death, King David told the women to weep over Saul who clothed them with ornaments, purple, and other delights (2 Sam 1:24). Sam wondered what preachers in our day would freely and publically make such a comment accenting and honoring special feminine beauty. Sam in thinking about what these beautifully adorned women of Saul's time might have appeared like, wondered what an unattractively veiled Moslem or Christian women of today might have looked like among them. Sam also noticed how Judith a beautiful and wise Jewish woman, in an effort to save the Jews from their enemies put on her many adornments and garments of gladness, after which their enemies looking on said, "Who would despise this people, that have among them such women? There is not such a woman from one end of the earth to the other, both for beauty of face, and wisdom of words." (Judith 10:3-4&19, 11:21). Sam even noticed that most Scriptures that used the word bride happened to be speaking of her adorning herself or of special joys because of her. dZ-14
Sam was very glad that Jane was quite involved with his research, and further seemed to even appreciate his appreciation for special feminine beauty rather than disdain him for it. Jane knew that although she was not the most beautiful female flower, that she yet was a flower and knew that her Sam very much appreciated whatever beauty she had. Jane had just recently discovered and showed Sam a verse in the Apocrypha Bible which reads, "The beauty of a woman cheereth the countenance, and a man loveth nothing better" (Ecc of Sir 36:22). Jane asked Sam why this part of the Bible, although still being in many Bibles 200 years ago was now removed. After their special day at the zoo and having found the pamphlet by their car, and which happened to include numerous photos of extraordinary feminine beauty, and being loved so passionately, Jane was impressed that seeing female roses at their best state can make men more highly esteem roses in general, and to even be more affectionate to a less beautiful rose like she sometimes thought herself to be. Jane in awareness of these things, and thinking about how feminine beauty was honored and sometimes displayed in old times, at times even pointed out special displays of feminine beauty to Sam. Jane knew their were many women who were quite opposite of her regarding these things, yet she also knew their were still many who were just like her. dZ-15
Jane also had been reading through the Old Testament and was sort of surprised how many Godly men, other than Solomon, had numerous wives, and noticed that God distinctly told David He gave him his numerous wives, and noticed that even Abraham had numerous concubines (Gen 25:6, Sam 12:8). Jane further noticed that both Abraham and Isaac's wives must have made themselves quite attractive as Kings wished to have their wives because of their beauty. Jane had also just read through the twenty first chapter of Deuteronomy and discovered that God particularly allowed Jewish men who seen a beautiful woman among the captives of war to take them as a wife or an additional wife. Jane also knew Sam just recently learned some surprising things about dances in old times in Israel. Jane in pondering these things was amazed how some present day wives did very little to be attractive for their husbands, and therewith even greatly disdained their husbands if they observed or realized pleasing feminine beauty other than them, and might even have divorced their husbands for such. Jane, was made to wonder if the austere and harsh anti sex and beauty teachings of various erring ancient teachers were not somewhat responsible for such austere and harsh manners of wives even today. Jane doubted very much that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who she had just learned was so liberal regarding beauty and even polygamy in ancient times, and who largely does not change would be pleased with wives being inconsiderate, jealous, controlling, and rejecting of their husbands as this. Further Jane very much remembered their experiences at the zoo and the pamphlet with special information and photos, and how these things actually made Sam more affectionate towards her rather than less, while further Jane had no worry that Sam would desert her and be out seeking other women as such was against his strong religious beliefs. Jane believed it was quite different to simply admire the beauty of something, than to covet or lust after it, just as she could admire her neighbor's rare roses from Asia without coveting them and wishing to somehow take them. Jane just recently was quite impressed with the verse which reads, "As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them" and wondered how many women might be as such even today (Isa 3:12). dZ-16
Regarding Sam, some other things he noticed in his recent studies about these issues were how famous Queen Esther replaced another queen that was rejected because she refused to come forth to show her beauty to the King's people and rulers (while some histories said without any veiling at all). Sam greatly wondered why Esther cooperated in trying to become the new queen, if she also would have refused to come forth to publically display her beauty (Esther 1:10-19). Sam in his Greek studies was surprised to discover how the old Greek Scriptures indicate some dances in ancient Israel were very revealing, and more so than the English and modern translations do (Song 6:13-7:9, 2 Sam 6:20-22). Sam was shocked how very different some Scriptures about these issues, are in the ancient Greek as compared to modern translations (2 Sam 6:20-22, 1 Pet 3:3-4). Further Sam was surprised that modern translations even place an obscuring chapter break in a crucial Scripture regarding these matters which both the ancient Hebrew and the Greek do not have (Song of Solomon 6:13-7:9). Sam also noticed that although most all English translations use the word dance in this Scripture, the KJV for some reason does not. Sam wondered if some Christians might count these Scriptures as verbal pornography, and therewith was amazed how many Christians seemed to judge and classify photos of what the Bible itself honorably displays with words, the very same as photos displaying vile and perverted sexual manners. Sam knew the word pornography came from two Greek words that meant photos or graphics involving or encouraging fornication, and did not believe the Song of Solomon favorably displayed such even in a verbal manner. Sam in researching these issues, also was surprised how numerous Scriptures clearly show that public exposure and even nudity was not thought vile or incredible in ancient Israel as it is by many in our present society (Isaiah 20:2-4, 1 Samuel 19:24, Micah 1:8, 2 Sam 6:16-22, Isaiah 32:11, John 21:7). Sam also was amazed how the Israelites when King David was sick and about to die, sought throughout the whole land of Israel to find the most beautiful maid in the land to bring and lay in David's bosom to help cure and revive him (1 King 1:1-4). Sam thought that likely the Israelites of that time felt that they were benefiting and honoring their King by willingly providing him with an additional wife or concubine as this. dZ-17
Sam marveled how different things were back then, and although some of their manners seemed a bit far fetched to him, yet he also knew that much of today's religious world in their forbidding of marriage and extreme veiling (some even veiling women's faces), somehow had sadly become captive to an unorthodox, strange, and harsh culture, too similar to the people in the tale of the Night People. Sam wanted to understand and wanted others to understand the perfect law of liberty that Apostle James spoke about (James 1:25, 2:12). Although Sam did not know of any present day religious teachers that still disallowed sex in marriage (as numerous early church fathers ridiculously did), yet Sam believed that the present day traditions of forbidding marriage and extreme veiling derived from or closely related to that most bizarre teaching. Sam also wondered what other restrictions about beauty and sexuality might have derived from such. Sam knew their austere teachings had greatly pained and abused people sexually. dZ-18
Although Sam, like Jane believed wives should be in subjection to their husbands, he yet believed husbands were to be kind and considerate towards their wives regarding sexuality or anything. Regarding sexuality and sight, Sam remembering how their experiences at the zoo and the pamphlet seemed to bless Jane, and even seemed to make her more affectionate towards him, did not want to needlessly restrict Jane with anything visual that pleased and benefited her. Although Sam did not think visual things meant as much to Jane as him, yet he knew many women were still significantly affected by such. Regarding men, Sam often thought about how Ecc of Sir 36:22 reads, "The beauty of a woman cheereth the countenance, and a man loveth nothing better". Regarding himself, Sam did not consider himself to be the most handsome, and was sort of glad if displays including what he wished he looked like or Jane thought was handsome or romantic could be closely contributed to him and make Jane more affectionate and passionate towards him. Sam very much appreciated when Jane was affectionate towards him as she was after their special time at the zoo. Yet most of all Sam and Jane wanted to be pleasing to God and thus had and were extensively researching these things, and knowing how the religious world had been in the dark about these things knew they could not simply follow it. Sam and Jane knew the word pornography came from two Greek words that meant photos or graphics involving or encouraging fornication, which kind of photos they both were very opposed to. Further they both were also opposed to any social manners or dances that could readily result in personal attractions between those who should not be attracted to each other. Sam further had just learned of a website called "www.BiblicalSexuality.com" which had numerous quite extensive articles about God's sexual plan, as well as articles researching what was truth regarding sexuality and sight, which very extensively considered many of the issues he was researching and which he wished people would read. dZ-19
Sam and Jane often thought and talked about the sexual confusion in the world, and wished they could do more to help. Yet Jane knew Sam had taken numerous beatings because of his research and publications about sexuality, although only seeking and wanting to help people find proper freedom regarding this subject. They thought about the verse which read, "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?" (Isa 58:6). Sam and Jane also thought about the little book spoken of in Revelations chapter ten which was sweet to Apostle John's mouth but which yet made his belly bitter. They wondered if that is sometimes how it is when dealing with the truth, as truth although simply being intended to protect man and set him free (and thus sweet as honey on the honey comb), yet can become very bitter when people want to hold to their old traditions and their man made righteousness (John 8:32, Psa 19:10). Sam believed Jesus experienced some of that bitterness on the cross. Sam also just discovered and very much appreciated an article at "www.TeachMeGod.com/a_disciple_or_animal.htm" that spoke of how erring religious people can end up being quite abusive, and which he very much wished all would read. As Sam and Jane pondered the years of their marriage before their special day of going to the zoo, they both were significantly grieved how their negative training about sexuality had cost them rich blessings which they should have been experiencing before. Sam further was grieved that it seemed very few people would even now research this subject. As Sam thought about God's real and good plan for man he was reminded of an article found at "www.teachmegod.com/home18e.htm" which spoke about what God and religion were all about, and which he also wished all would read. dZ-20
Although Sam knew erroneous sexual laws have caused humanity tremendous pain, he also knew that having no sexual law also causes much pain. Sam knew if their was no such thing as marriage, and rather it was proper and customary for both men and women to daily take what ever mate they might be able to allure that day, both adults and young children would often be at loose ends and very insecure. Sam had seen a website called "www.dearcupid.org" where people in sexual trouble often ask advice and which website reveals a large society of broken and troubled hearts among those that lack proper sexual laws, as well as the characteristics of real honesty and kindness, and where sexuality often seemed like a curse rather than a blessing. Sam also was saddened how erring religion by portraying God's sexual laws as so harsh and unreasonable, have caused many people to reject God and all sexual law, and thus to end up in this troubled sexual society. dZ-21
Almost seven years had now passed since Sam and Jane's special day at the zoo. Although they had found many answers in their research and experiences of the last several years, yet they still had many questions, and did not want to promote anything false. Yet they felt they did what they could, and prayed for more understanding and God's mercy on themselves as well as others. Now about exactly seven years after their special trip to the zoo, Sam and Jane decided to return to the same zoo to reminisce the time when a significant change occurred in their lives. Since that time Sam and Jane had learned in a new way that God's laws although disallowing evil things are not to inflict, but rather to protect and preserve. Sam and Jane had largely learned that something is not evil because it is sin, as much as something is sin because of it being evil. They had learned the issues of reasoning and choosing justly, kindness to all, honesty, and open heartedness were what really mattered (Micah 6:6-8). dZ-22
While at the zoo, although the zoo had changed quite drastically, many vivid memories came back to them. As Sam and Jane then returned home Sam with tears in his eyes told Jane in some ways he was very happy and in others very sad. Happy because of God's good plan and sad because it is so misunderstood. Jane then reminded Sam of a special allegory found at "www.TeachMeGod.com/home1a2.htm" called "The Bad Banana Bunch" which was a little bit like the tale of the Night People and which in a quite shocking manner portrays God's good and real plan and how many people are misunderstanding it. Sam then reminded Jane about another special allegory found at "www.BiblicalSexuality.com/sally_s_rose.htm" which focused on numerous of the issues about sexuality and sight they had learned and encountered in the last seven years. Sam then gave Jane a warm squeeze and before they went to bed, Sam read the following Scriptures which he wished people would research; dZ-23
(1 Co 12:22) "Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: 25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another."
(Col 2:20) "Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh."
(Song of Sol 7:1-3) "How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter! the joints of thy thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a cunning workman. 2 Thy navel is like a round goblet, which wanteth not liquor: thy belly is like an heap of wheat set about with lilies. 3 Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins."
(1 Ti 4:1&3) "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ...Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth."
(Heb 13:4) "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."
(1 Co 11:14-15 &) "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering [Greek instead of a veil]."
(1 Co 11:7&10) "...the woman is the glory of the man. 10 For this cause ought the woman to have power [Greek liberty] on her head because of [Greek or with] the angels."
(2 Co 3:16-18) "Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
(John 8:31-32) "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
(Ga 5:13-14) " For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
(Ps 119:96) "I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad."
(Ps 119:45) "And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts."
(Ga 5:1) "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."
(Ps 34:8) "O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him."
(Luke 19:41-42) "And when he was come near, he [Jesus] beheld the city, [Jerusalem, humanity] and wept over it, 42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes."
Note, this story is simply an allegory to bring out an important message, while many of the things herein have not necessarily been experienced by any couple. Further Sam in this allegory much better represents the writer of this allegory, than what Jane in reality represents the writers wife.
