Missing you- a letter while traveling for work
Here is a letter that I wrote my wife as I was on an extended work trip throughout the mid-west.
My love,
I cannot believe it has been almost three weeks! These have been the hardest and loneliness time of my life. I sit and think that I only have three more days until I see you again, I remember what has allowed me to endure this long. These things are also what I miss about you the most.
I thought I would list just a couple of them out for you.
The way you sing ALL DAY LONG. There is nothing sweeter than the sound of your voice, echoing through the air. Whether cleaning, cooking, relaxing, or playing, you always have a beautiful song on your heart.
The way you smile with your eyes. Oh sure, anyone can smile, but only you have the smiling eyes that I have come to love. Only your eyes can lift me up when I'm feeling down, they can calm my fear when the job isn't going so well, they give me encouragement when self-consciousness strikes. There is no deeper gaze than when I look into your eyes.
The way you always reach out and grab my hand when we are walking. I am always reminded that I never walk through life alone. You are always there right beside me.
The way you laugh. There is no laugh quite like yours. The sound is infectious. It puts those who hear it at ease ... it begs to be joined.
These are by no means all that I have missed about you ... As I prepared for this trip, I knew I would miss all of the "usual" things ... these were just a few of the things that I miss, and didn't realize.
