In the forest
It was a Sunday morning in July. My wife and I were sleeping until the phone rang. It was our friend who asked if we were coming to Church this morning. I was feeling sleepy and it was already nine thirty so I said we are not coming today. Since we woke up, we went to kitchen and had a little breakfast and coffee. We were talking about God and how we could spend the day. We decided to go for a walk to the forest near us. Weather was really nice, sun was shining and air was fresh and easy to breathe. We walked slowly, listened to birds singing and the wind moving above the trees. It felt like time stopped moving for a while.
There were no distractions and we were enjoying the moment of just being. We felt God's love upon us. He's spirit gently whispered to us how much He loves for no reason. He wasn't angry to us since we’re not in the Church today; we felt His Love there in the nature doing nothing and that surprised us. Why would God love us if we weren't doing any ministry or anything for Him today? How could He love us? His spirit was gently telling this to our hearts; I’ve already done it that's why you're free today. That's why we are free? Wow...We felt something like we're never felt before; complete freedom of any expectations just being present in this very moment and feeling God's strong peace in our hearts! We had found the freedom!
