Marriage proposal
Dear A,
We've been together three years now and I wouldn't trade a second for anything. I've known you as a friend ever since I met you in the mall eight years ago, under slightly different circumstances. I'm glad those circumstances have changed. Getting to know more about you each day has been amazing! You‘ve taught me so much about myself, and I've made so many positive changes in my life as a result of God using you to open my eyes.
You're my best friend. You are someone I can tell anything to, share anything with, and be myself around. Your loyalty is so strong that in the beginning it scared me, because it was something I hadn't seen before, something I was afraid to believe.
You're also my girlfriend. An intelligent attractive young women that can do anything that she puts her mind to. I have seen this recently with your hard work towards school. I'm really proud of you! I definitely do not tell you nearly often enough how beautiful you are, and when I do tell you, I stumble over the words, or act all shy. There are so many times I see you across the room, and just stop for a second to take it in. You are gorgeous. Never doubt it for a second.
I don't know who else would find a wooden cactus so amazing, or paint a praying mantis for me and name it “gilbert”. Who on earth would understand solomon, or my obsession with glass bottles? Who would put up with my OCD tendencies and that every now and then I just HAVE to know where something is? Who else can I practice my ninja like tickling skills on?
Who else would share my adventures in the kitchen, making some masterpieces, and some... not so masterpieces? Who else would help with such enthusiasm as we nurtured “chewy”, our little venus fly trap? Who else would be so supportive of everything I have been through, and everything I hope to accomplish with my life? Who else do I want to spend the rest of my life with? You and you alone.
A, You are everything I have ever wanted in a girlfriend, and everything I didn't know I wanted, but now see that I need. I don't pretend to know exactly what the future holds for either of us, but i would like to be a part of your future if you'll let me. Will you marry me?
