Some things you shouldn't be able to mess up. But our wedding night my husband ruined it. The whole day was awful. I hate the memory of it. We decided to elope and my husband picked the date because he felt it just had to be that weekend even if my mother couldn't make it. I went along with it because he had a point we were both off. We eloped at a Justice of the Peace. Then went to Olive Garden with his friends and his family. Which was fine.
I feel like the whole day was just about him. Him trying to impress his friends. That night was worse. I thought we would do what all newly weds do. Spend a romantic evening ALONE. No his buddies invited him out to a bar to CELEBRATE. I could tell it was important so I agreed as long as he promised we could leave by 8 pm. Oh no, we were there all night. Till the early morning. Just to impress his friends.
The next morning we had the biggest fight we have ever had. He still feels guilty to this day. No matter what I can't seem to forgive him. It's not something you can ever get back. No matter what you do you can never redo your wedding day and night. What's horrible about it still is that when our anniversary comes around I don't even feel like celebrating. Is that Horrible? I have told him this and it's obvious. To me it's just another day of the week. I guess I should just be happy we got married. I just feel so betrayed.
