The Stories on Marriageromance.com Changed my sex life & marriage
For many years, I've been blase about having sex with my husband. Except for an occasional (and unusual) rush of desire on my part, our sex life had become the obligatory “once every few weeks” with the single purpose of meeting his “needs”. Missionary position, little to no foreplay, etc… I didn't even care if I had an orgasm. I didn't particularly like this, but didn't know how to change my own lack of desire. Physically, I was fine and had none of the symptoms or issues that I had read could cause this. I had even researched and tried a few natural supplements to bolster my libido, but nothing helped. About a year ago, it occurred to me that my lack of desire could have to do with a lack of arousal. But as a Christian, I felt that reading or watching sexually explicit material would be morally wrong. It took many, many months, but I finally decided to at least look into what other Christians (and ultimately the Bible) had to say about this issue. That's when I stumbled across the marriageromance.com website. I read the articles regarding what the Bible says about arousal and felt hope for the first time in a very long time. It took another week, but after much thought and prayer, I began reading the stories on the website.
I was afraid I'd feel intense guilt about doing so, but what I felt was a longing and desire for my husband that I'd had when first married, and thought would never return. Reading stories of wedded couples that obviously love each other and enjoy each other, in the way God designed, was just what I'd needed. I also came to understand things like men really do like giving their wives oral sex, ways to please your husband, and that praying before, during and after sex is pleasing to God. I read about couples who tried different things sexually, from games to positions and realized that this is okay… not just okay, but really good.
Thanks to everyone who has submitted stories,. Both my sex life and marriage have been changed for the better.
