Just Thought I'd Share
I just wanted to share my experiences; I'm single and still waiting for my “Prince Charming”, or whatever you want to call him. I've never dated anyone, and I have found that at this point in my life, being friends with guys is MUCH less complicated. I am trying to keep my life on track and focused on God's will for my life. As I have grown in my faith, I have seen God work in my life in amazing ways. I am able to focus on growing spiritually and growing healthy friendships with men.
I have witnessed my friends' relationships, both good and bad. I've seen the bad side of things; one of my best friends became pregnant at 18, and the good side of things; one of my close friends is getting married to a wonderful guy soon. It helps to learn from your friend's mistakes, rather than make the same ones yourself. :) People say that you "need" to date so you will find out what kind of person you want to marry. I don't agree with that mindset. I know exactly what kind of guy I want to marry someday and I have never dated!
Right now, my favorite verse is Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” I have come to realize that God knows that I desire a relationship with an amazing man of God. He cares that someday I do want to be married and intimate with my husband. I have found comfort in this verse during my moments of doubt.
