A reader says ... hey guys i started a yahoo group for christian couples and singles a place where most of the rules here apply there..there we can tell stories with any thing in them as long as it between a husband and wife..and of coures we will have pics..erotic pics of guys and girls and if i or u can find some with a nude guy and girl in the same pic but not doing any thing sexual as they are probably not married than that would be cool too..we will have nude and non nude pics for u guys and girls to get horny over. i don't have a problem with married people masturbating as long as it not affecting ur love life..and for single people.well that all they can do..of course u free to post pics of your self or pics u find hott. this is a private group..i hope that it will be something specail..alot like this group with just some of the added stuff..and i hope u guys let me post this and not take it off...the link is

A reader says ... actually that would be good..but i got a question..if seeing someone who's hot or hot and nude turns u on..and as we have come to know that is not lusting or coveting them ..then is it not ok to see pics of nude women or man rather they be christian or not..I don't see how them being "christian" matters. sounds like we are making up our own rules again.. which is why the church is in the mess we are in when it comes to the teachings of sex. if being turned on by seeing someone else or watching something is not sin..then why does it matter what they believe; since that is out of our control.. you many say yeah but they are engaging in sin.. ok I would agree with u.. so does that mean we can't get turned on by it ... paul says in Romans 1:32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them......is God through paul judging emotions here? thoughts? desires? because I'm watching someone in sin and I get turned on..does not mean that I approve of what they are doing at all. But I can't stop them from doing it .. So is getting turned on by it sinful? Do they need Jesus..of course do they need to repent and be saved of course...so is watching porn even though I totally disagree with what they are doing but still that does not stop me from being turned on..sex is sex..don't matter who is doing it...we say well as long as there are married..well some porn stars are married and have permission do have sex with other people.. another thing that the bible teaches is not wrong..u see what I'm saying..we are freeing yourself from some of the man made rules about sex but at the same time we are enforcing our own on us and others, because we are so afraid of this subject and being wrong or giving to much permission and freedom..but is there not supposed to be freedom in Christ..it the gospel about sex or about man being evil and God hating and deserving death and the lake of fire and then what God through his Son did to save us..so anyway..does what I'm saying make any sense..i know i not a good writing but doesn't it make some sense .

Editor: I agree a picture of a non-Christian is not better or worse than a picture of a Christian. But God hates sin. So we should hate sin because God hates sin.

In Romans 1:32 Paul says we shouldn't "give hearty approval" to those who practice sin. So that is why we advice Christian couples to not watch videos with immoral sex. But nowhere in the Bible does God condemn heterosexual sex outside of marriage if the spouses involved consent or if the person is not married and the person is a non-virgin or has the consent of their parents. That eliminates videos with homosexuality, bestiality and videos with a story line of cheating.

But "getting turned on" is never sin. That is an emotion. But choosing to watch something immoral could be wrong since you are condoning that conduct by choosing to watch it.

I agree with the principle that eating meat offered to idols is not sin. I believe the non-Christian religions offered meat to idols and then sold the meat in the market place. And so Christians were buying the meat and eating it. But some Christians thought it was sin to buy the meat and eat it. Paul said it wasn't sin to buy the meat that had been offered to idols.

So the analogy is, "Why can't we buy erotic videos that have immorality in them and get turned on by them? Why does it matter where the erotic video came from?" I agree, the origin of the erotic video is not important. But the content of the erotic video is important. Eating meat was not sinful. That is why eating meat offered to idols was also not sinful. But, for example homosexual sex is sinful. So isn't choosing to watch a video of homosexual sex a form of condoning or "giving a hearty approval" to the sinful conduct? And doesn't Paul say that is a bad thing to do in Romans 1:32?
