reaching

We met when we were in the military and I was only 22. I did not return to school, but we kept our relationship going, her job was close to mine. I would call her and pick her up every 2nd or 3rd weekend. My progress towards a degree was slow and she graduated before I did. She moved back home which was 3-3.5 hours away in a different state. We continued to do the long distance thing. I had gotten her a call when we were 22 and told her it was because I wanted to marry her someday. I did it to placate her and stop the constant questions about our relationship. She got pregnant, in late September of 1997. I did the right thing and married her and moved out of state to where she lived. I have some father issues that I have only recently started to reconcile, and they made me want to do the right thing as well. I would make it work where my step father could not. In hindsight, maybe not the best idea.
We went from really only spending 3-4 months together to having a long distance relationship over 3+ years, to then having an instant family.

It may be true that I broke her heart but we broke each others. I dont understand why. I felt bad about it but then got over it.
